Dallas, Texas—The Dallas Cranes will host the Houston Cranes in what is billed as an epic soccer encounter this spring before treating their guests to a ‘Mega Dee’ trans-nite bash until the wee hours of the morning. According to a statement from the President of the Ugandan American Association of Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) Lamberrt Etibot, in addition to Houston, the soccer bonanza will also be attended by Ugandans living in other neighboring cities including Austin, San Antonio and Oklahoma. The much-anticipated Soccer showdown between the Dallas Cranes and Houston Cranes will take place at the Texas Star Soccer Arena on Saturday March 12. The game will kick-off at 4:00 pm prompt.

This will be the third time the two sides are meeting. During the previous two encounters, the Dallas Cranes thumped their Houston counterparts. However, this time round, the Houston Cranes are promising to give the Dallas a run for their money and humiliate them on their own turf. It’s an epic encounter you don’t want to miss. However, going by the recent history of encounters between the two teams, supporters of the Dallas Cranes affirm and continue to vow that the Houston Cranes stand no chance in a million to win against their counterparts in Dallas captained by Dennis Apira with such iconic names as Monday Atigo, also UNAA president, Patrick Ogwang, Andrew Mulinde, and Lambert Etibot, the team’s most lethal striker and reigning top scorer.  Indeed, since this championship began in 2013, Houston Cranes has never beaten the Dallas Cranes in the two encounters of 2013 and 2015. The Dallas Cranes first faced the Houston cranes in September 2013, a game that ended with a 3-0 drubbing of the Houston Cranes. During their end of year event in Houston last December, the Houston Cranes once again fell to the Dallas Cranes 5-3 in their own backyard. However, this time round, the Houston Cranes now boasting of a youthful side with a rock-solid defense and prolific strikers, their team Captain Richard Kalule is sounding more confident and determined to humiliate the Dallas Cranes on their own ground and take the Cup back to Houston.

The UAA-DFW President Lambert Etibot says that to cap the day’s events, a ‘Mega Dee’ Bash is planned until the wee hours of the morning. Lambert Etibot says that the DFW community, hosting the event will later treat the visitors to a "Pearl of Africa Music Night" the Dallas style.  “It will be a fun and entertainment packed evening at the Barbra's Dance Studio featuring , among others, performances from General Afande Mega Dee alongside the California based group "The Masters” with fine Music selections from DJ PM, DJ HD, and DJ Kenyi from Chicago,” Mr. Etibot says. Children will have free entry to the community event as food and drinks will be available at a reasonable cost, the president’s statement said.
